Great capture, composition, DOF, and b&w selection. This way the focus is on the dear in its natural environment, isolated from the background. I also see it over-sharpened, and noisy. Worth going over the area above the white grasses with the blur tool.

Beautiful work Don! A classic for sure! The black and white works very well here. The highlights. midtones, and darks are well balanced. I also enjoy your DOF and slight blur to the immediate foreground. The photo has nice depth to it. Excellent and also one of my favorites from you.
